LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

(According to the State of Florida)

I, (insert name here) hereby declare this as my Last Will and Testament set forth in the Laws for the State of Florida. I am married, and have minor children.

FIRST: I give $60,000 plus one half of the balance of everything I own to my surviving spouse, and the other half to my children. I have crossed my fingers that this will be sufficient for my surviving spouse's support; otherwise, the children will have to look after my surviving spouse.

SECOND: My surviving spouse shall be the Guardian of our minor children, but as a safeguard I require that my spouse report to the Probate Court each year and render an accounting of how, why, and where they money necessary for their proper care of my children was spent.

THIRD: Of course, I want my children, when they reach the age of eighteen (18), to be able to spend their inheritance in any manner they choose. It would be nice if they choose to spend some on their education instead of cars, but I don't want any control over that.

FOURTH: If my surviving spouse remarries, the person he/she remarries and his/her children will stand to inherit all that I have left to my spouse.

FIFTH: If my spouse dies before I do, I do not want to select the Guardian of my children. I would rather leave this up to our various relatives and the Probate Court and hope they can select someone my spouse and I would have wished to raise our children. If my relatives cannot agree, I leave it up to the Probate Court to select anyone, including a stranger acceptable to the Court, even if my relatives don't agree.

SIXTH: If I have no kin or if they predecease me, I give all of my property to the State of Florida.

SEVENTH: I also understand that none of my estate will go to any of the charities I have supported during my life.

EIGHTH: I have heard there are some ways in which estate taxes can be saved, but I have no interest in this subject. Since I prefer to have my money used for governmental purposes rather than to benefit my family, church or community, I direct that no effort be made to lower any of my taxes.
